The Games That Helped Me Through Heartbreak

A little over a month ago, my world was thrown for a loop when my girlfriend sat me down to tell me she wanted to break up. It completely blind-sided me and took its toll on me emotionally. Because we were living together, it affected other parts of my life too. Due to the nature of the breakup, we still had to live together for a bit while we got situated in our new lives apart from one another. In the meantime, I threw myself even more into video games and maintaining my daily writing here. Recently, I came to the realization that a lot of the games I’ve played in the last month or so have been instrumental in helping me through this breakup. The Witness Review

In the years since The Witness was first announced, it has always been one of cases where I knew the name, but virtually nothing else about the case. Not because I was actively avoiding details or anything, it just never really popped onto my radar. Until a couple weeks ago, that is, when its price was announced a week before launch and then when seemingly everyone was blown away by the game. So I picked it up and dove in. And 482 panels later, I feel like a freaking genius!

So Many Puzzles

Well I was hoping to finish up The Witness today and put together a proper review. But then I got distracted from the end game by solving more puzzles.

My save file currently reads 387 panels solved, +39. I was on fire tonight activating five different lasers. Desert was the last one I triggered. With all of the lasers out of the way, I returned to the summit to wrap this baby up.
